Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our Internet site. Your visit inspires me, for you represent the long historical line of people who support our Nation's military Families - Soldiers and their relatives alike.

As they continue to face the challenges of war with its long deployments and Family separations, they show the great courage required to tackle those challenges. This directly contributes to the readiness of our forces and our Nation. That earns them the right to receive our appreciation in the form of the very best care we can offer.

Since September 11, 2001, the Army Reserve has learned to better care for our own at every level. We have bolstered existing programs and launched new ones to assist Soldiers and their loved ones - heroes all - either downrange or "holding down the fort" at home.

Here you will find information about those programs and other resources. Please browse the site to familiarize yourself with the opportunities available, then take advantage of them, or add to them as a Family Readiness volunteer. Either way, your involvement contributes to the readiness of Families and makes our world better in the process.

Thanks again for supporting our Citizen-Warriors!

"Services"

In the Army Family Covenant, national and local commanders commit "to improving Family Readiness by: Standardizing  and funding existing Family... services," www.imcom.army.mil/hq/afc

USAR Family Programs provides 6 core "services." They are (1) Survivor Outreach Services (SOS); (2) Ft. Family Outreach and Support Services (OSS); (3) Information, Referral and Follow-up (IRF); (4) Crisis Management (CM); (5) Volunteer Management (VM); and (6) Command Support (CS). Each of these services aims to improve AR Families' quality of life by helping to fulfill specific needs as they occur in various stages of life. From information about benefits and referral to the agencies that provided them, to helping families navigate the grief and life challenges which emerge from a natural disaster or the death of their Soldier. Like our "programs", because these services enhance well-being, they enhance mission accomplishment and sustainment of the force. However, they only can do this to the extent that AR Families know about them and their benefits.

Hope: That you will arrange a consultation with me or one of my staff to receive a desk-side brief about the details of these services and discuss ways they can use them to maximize both success in your role and morale in the Families you lead.

Thank you for your service and sacrifices. I am your servant, so, please contact me if you would like to arrange a meeting or respond to this message in any way.
